This product is great for children who enjoy science and chemical reactions. My eight year old son spent hours working through the experiments and learning about creatures. The booklet contains brightly colored pictures, and most of the ingredients needed for the different experiments are included.

The booklet has additional facts and information about real life animals, fish, frogs, bugs and aquaprotein. Kids will have a great deal of information at their fingertips while they put their newfound skills into action creating their own unique creatures. I think kids benefit when they can create something like this for themselves, instead of just seeing it in a museum or buying something already made from the store. Using this kit, kids can make choices and decisions, build up on previous experiments and learn careful planning, reasoning, and analysis.

I loved that the directions for this product were extremely clear. The pictures in the instruction booklet made the experiments seem fun and engaging. The quality of the materials are very good. This Maker Lab kit definitely has a "gross" factor that makes it intriguing and more engaging than other similar products. Once the science part of the project is completed, kids have an opportunity to turn their science into art with the additional materials included that turn the "ooze" into creatures that can be saved for at least a short time.
