This unique 3D puzzle was "attacked" by my children ages 2 and 6. As soon as they saw the box they were both drawn right in. Working together, they put all pieces in place quickly. My older child immediately started creative play with each of the dinosaurs and my youngest followed suit. Then there was the creative building of mismatching dinosaurs and how interesting they could make them look. Identification of different body parts and compare and contrast of different dinos also entertained them while they learned. It was a bit of a review of info for my oldest, but the bright colors and the 3D seemed to engage him all the while. My 2 year old was able to piece together some of the base and the large pieces made it easier and attractive small motor activities. Visual perception is a big benefit of this puzzle for all of the color and shape discrepancy. Being able to play and interact with a puzzle makes them a whole lot more interesting to kids.
